How you sell your home alongside a Real Estate agent has changed so much over the last several years.  What the Stager does is gives you the edge over the competition of other houses on the market and the ability to increase your selling price and lessen the time on the market.

Home staging helps give you the WOW to get the clients into the house (have a great exterior...curb appeal) and once inside to sell the space and potential of the house for their family.  One of the items that must be put across to the home seller and as Barb Schwarz, Founder and CEO of www.stagedhomes.com  states.  "A home is where you live, a house is what you sell." Staging generally results in 6.9% increase in list price, while reducing selling time by 50%.

Most Realtors can advise on the general things that need to be done to sell your home; i.e., de-clutter, clean and take away extra furniture in rooms that make them look crowded.  Stagers do more than this...They look at the condition of your home...areas that will be most important to the buyer such as the kitchen and bath area, paint, carpets, etc.

The price to stage a home is far less than the first markdown that you will take on your home.  First markdowns are at least $5000.  The rates for Stagers at this time range from $75 to $150 per hour.  Consultations average between $200 and $300 depending on the size of the home Remember that a Realtor and Home Inspector adds to the cost but a Stager adds value and increased equity.  Also Stagers can provide accessories, furnishings or other enhancements for a minimal rental fee.
